COMMITTED TO EXCELLENCE IN PATIENT CARE

KSF Orthopaedic Center was founded in 1976 to bring the highest quality of orthopaedic
care to the residents of Northwest Houston and the Greater Houston area. Its thirteen doctors offer patients complete orthopaedic care, including sports medicine, joint replacement, spine surgery, hand surgery, fracture management, pain management and physical therapy. KSF has on-site diagnostics and its own surgery center. For the second year in a row, two of KSF’s orthopaedic surgeons have been recognized as Super Doctors by their peers.

COMMITTED TO EXCELLENCE IN PATIENT CARE.

ANDREW KANT, M.D. A founding partner of KSF Orthopaedic Center, Dr. Kant specializes in treating spinal problems and injuries. He also has a large sports medicine
practice. “There are a lot of things medicine can’t cure,” he says. “But in
orthopedics, we can resolve a problem so that patients get well and forget about it for the rest of their life.”

He completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He is past President of the Texas Orthopaedic Association. Dr.Kant formerly served as President of the Houston Orthopedic
Society, President of the Medical Staff of Houston Northwest Medical Center, and Chairman of its Department of Surgery. ALBERT D. CUELLAR, M.D. A bioengineering
major in college, Dr. Cuellar continues to find the application of technology to the human body fascinating. With a subspecialty in hip and knee replacements, Dr. Cuellar believes that joint replacements are one of the greatest inventions of the last century. “Chronic pain due to arthritis can be very debilitating and depressing for people,” he says. “A joint replacement gives people dramatic pain relief and is really a new lease on life.” After graduating magna cum laude from Texas A & M University with a degree in Bioengineering, Dr. Cuellar went to medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He completed his Internship in General Surgery and his Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at UTMB. He also did a preceptorship and a fellowship in Adult Joint Reconstruction at Presbyterian Hospital/Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Texas Orthopaedic Association, and the Houston Orthopaedic Society. Also, he is currently involved in orthopaedic device research and development.
